Well hello peeps!!!
Apologies for not saying hello from the blog last week - but I started a new job and my laptop has been out of commission, so things have been a little hectic.
Paperific was great fun! I saw lots of arty friends, and made some new ones too. Loverly :) Even though I only did 2 days of demoing I was a little hoarse on Sunday lol. I got great feedback from everyone - thankyou, it means so much to me.
Jennifer tells me that the consensus on classes is one on the canvas / journal cover, and.... drumroll.... ART JOURNALLING CLASSES.
Cool! As you are aware I am a bit of an art journalling fan, so teaching a series of art journalling classes is just going to be so much fun!!! I had a chat with Jennifer from crafters cupboard yesterday about format, and she is going to get back to me later this week with some further thoughts. We have our thinking caps on about the best way to tackle this.
Needless to say, I have already started a new journal just for the class (any excuse), and will blog a little more about it over the coming weeks.
I thought today that I would add some more pics of my show samples, as I couldn't give them all to you before the show started.
A slide-up card using the yummy PaperArtsy Lynne Perella stamps:
with the slider up:
a blokey card using the stencil bump technique on a tag as the background:
Recycled cardboard packaging used like a canvas and cut and decorated (this was one of my faves to make):
More recycled cardboard - cut to see the corrugations, and turned into a little book:
Lastly, a little canvas done using painted tissue to get stamped images onto it:
If you want instructions on any of these, please leave me a comment!
Thanks for stopping by.
love
Liz
I'd have a hoarse throat after demoeing for two days too if I was you lol. Your work is gorgeous as usual! Your going to be one popular teacher xo
